How do I use Matterport measurement tools on mobile?

  1. Open the virtual tour you want to measure.
  2. Click the “Measurement Mode” icon at the bottom left of the interface.
  3. Navigate to the area you want to measure. You can do this by clicking to navigate to the correct area, or you can use the arrow keys on your keyboard. Click on the “+” icon in the center of the screen. This will open the measurement slider, which features our new “scope” – this allows you to make detailed measurements using precise zoom.
  4. Find the point where you want to start your measurement and double-click to place your first measurement marker. Drag the line vertically or horizontally along the edge or corner you want to measure.
  5. Optionally, use "scope" to more precisely align your line with the edge or corner of the object. If you want to construct a measurement line from floor to ceiling, double-click on the floor or ceiling to create the line.
  6. Click again to complete your measurement line. From here you can continue to measure different angles of the object you are measuring by repeating steps 1-8 above.
  7. Keep in mind: at any time, you can click the "trash" icon to delete your current measurement. When you have finished measuring the object, click or tap the green “check” icon in the center of the screen.
  8. After clicking on the "check" icon, your final measurements will appear appended to the object, as seen above.
  9. To continue adding measurements, simply tap the "+" icon in the center of the screen and follow the previous steps to add additional measurements to your template.
