3D Virtual Tour of the Robert-Bourassa Development
The Robert-Bourassa development is one of Hydro-Québec’s major hydroelectric facilities, on La Grande River in James Bay; its generating station is built underground. Panosphere 360 produced a Matterport 3D virtual tour of the site: 341 scan points joined in a single navigable model that you walk through from one space to the next, as if you were there.
The tour for this project is password-protected (client access only).
A remote site, reachable from a screen
More than 1,000 km from Montreal, every trip to a site like this is planned well in advance. A digital twin lets teams prepare an intervention, train staff and present the facility without travelling. The 3D dollhouse view shows the whole site at a glance, and the measuring tool gives dimensions right in the tour.
For a strategic facility, the tour stays private: it is password-protected and only authorized people can open it.
