Virtual tour for car, motorcycle and RV dealerships

Your showroom, open 24 hours a day on Google and on your website.

For a dealership (showroom of 3,000 to 8,000 sq. ft.), count $595 to $1,095 for the Matterport 3D tour, or $695 to $1,195 for the Google tour on your listing. Captured without closing, evening or Saturday morning; online within 24 to 48 hours in most cases. More than 1,000 Google Maps tours since 2015, across Quebec. Phone: 514 262-9248.

  • Over 1,000 tours published on Google Maps since 2015
  • 3D tour from $395, Google tour from $495
  • Online in 24 to 48 hours
  • Captured without closing: in the evening or on Saturday morning

Your Google Business Profile is your dealership’s front door.

Before the test drive, buyers have already compared dealerships online: hours, reviews, photos, inventory. A dealership virtual tour shows them the rest, the showroom, the reception area, the service department and the waiting area, on your Google Business Profile and on your website. They then walk in with confidence.

Six uses of a virtual tour at a dealership.

You stay in control

Your marketing team updates the tour every season.

On request, your team receives access to the Matterport editor for the 3D tour. It changes the tags itself when the floor changes: a new model on display, a clearance sale, a winter tire promotion, the same day, without waiting for us.

  • Add or edit tags: text, photos, videos, PDFs, links to your inventory
  • Announce a promotion, a launch, a financing offer
  • Choose the starting view and hide the offices
  • Editor access: $150 per year

Public pricing

Pricing based on the dealership’s floor area.

A showroom is often 3,000 to 8,000 sq. ft.: allow $595 to $1,095 for the Matterport 3D tour, 2D floor plan and one year of hosting included, or $695 to $1,195 for the Google 360° tour published on your profile (the grid plus $100).

Good to know: vehicles change, and windows reflect

The tour shows the dealership as it is on the day of the capture: the vehicles on display will change, which is why your team updates the tags itself. Large windows and polished bodywork call for careful HDR processing to control reflections and blown-out highlights. On Google Maps, the published version is a series of panoramas, without the 3D dollhouse view; licence plates and faces are blurred.

A dealership virtual tour: what buyers see

One Saturday morning, a buyer compares three dealerships on Google Maps before choosing where to spend the afternoon. One of the listings has a virtual tour. They step into the showroom, walk around the models on display, spot the service counter and the waiting room. They already know who they will be dealing with.

That is what a car dealership virtual tour does: it answers the simple questions in advance, so the in-person visit is spent on the test drive and the negotiation. On your Google Business Profile, the tour appears in Google Maps, in Street View and in search results. On your website, it is embedded with a single code, next to your inventory.

Google Street View or Matterport 3D tour?

Two products, two uses, often captured on the same day.

The Google virtual tour is a series of HDR 360° panoramas published on your Google Maps listing, hosted by Google with no subscription. It is made to be found, and it is the option most of our dealerships choose: Duval Toyota in Boucherville, with three Google Street View walkthroughs covering the showroom, the customer area and the facilities; Duval Volkswagen in Longueuil; Proulx Chevrolet Buick GMC and Honda Sorel-Tracy, in Sorel-Tracy; Yergeau Ford in Acton Vale. The grid based on floor area plus $100, i.e. from $495 per dealership.

The Matterport 3D virtual tour is a complete model of the dealership: you move from one vehicle to the next, see it as a dollhouse view, and each department can receive an information tag. For a car showroom of 3,000 to 8,000 sq. ft., allow $595 to $1,095, 2D floor plan and one year of hosting included, then $100 to publish it on Google Maps as well. Choose it when you want tags linking to your inventory, a menu by department or a model you can measure before a reconfiguration.

Tags linking to inventory and promotions

In an enhanced virtual tour, the information sits right where it applies. The featured vehicle in the middle of the showroom leads to its inventory page; the service counter opens appointment booking; the parts department links to your online store; the finance office, to your pre-approval form. A menu in your colours, bilingual if needed, separates the showroom, service, parts and pre-owned vehicles.

A dealership floor changes with the seasons. With editor access, your marketing team itself replaces the tag for the model that just left the lot or announces the winter tire promotion, the same day, without coming back to us. A one-hour training session is included.

Motorcycle, ATV, snowmobile, RV and boat dealerships

A motorcycle dealership virtual tour follows the same principle, with a service shop that matters as much as the showroom: riders want to see where their machine will be serviced. We produced the Google tour of Vision Harley-Davidson in Repentigny, in Lanaudière, and the one for Prestige Cycle in La Prairie, from reception to the shop. Génération Sport, an ATV and snowmobile dealer, also has its Google tour.

For an RV or boat dealer, the inventory is outside. The Matterport Pro3 camera works outdoors, even in full sunlight, to connect the yard to the showroom, and aerial drone views show the size of the lot. A 360° panorama taken inside the cabin of a featured model can also be linked to the tour: we did this for a CR-V and a Civic at Honda Sorel-Tracy, and for an F-150 at Yergeau Ford.

Body shops and auto repair shops

For a body shop or an auto repair shop, trust comes from what customers never see from the counter: the service bays, the equipment, the cleanliness. We captured the Carrossier ProColor shops in Varennes and Longueuil: customers comparing body shops after a fender bender see, on each location’s Google Business Profile, where their vehicle will go.

Groups and banners: one price per dealership

For a group, each dealership gets its own tour, captured on one route following the same path, at a per-site price, with travel fees shared. We did this for four Groupe Duval dealerships on the South Shore: Mercedes-Benz, Mazda, Toyota and Volkswagen. Head office compares the layouts, and each dealership stays in control of its own Google Business Profile.

Frequently asked questions

Your questions, our answers.

Google tour or Matterport 3D tour: which one is right for a dealership?

The Google tour, published on your Google Maps listing, is made to be found, and it is the option most of our dealerships choose: the grid based on floor area, plus $100 for publication, i.e. $695 to $1,195 for a showroom of 3,000 to 8,000 sq. ft. The Matterport 3D tour, $595 to $1,095 for the same floor area, adds the dollhouse view, the floor plan and tags linking to your inventory, and it can also be published on Google Maps for $100 more.

How much does a dealership virtual tour cost?

Both follow the floor area: the Matterport 3D tour costs $395 under 1,500 sq. ft., then $100 more per additional 1,000 sq. ft., with the 2D floor plan and one year of hosting included; the Google tour published on your profile is the same grid plus $100, so from $495. A 5,000 sq. ft. showroom comes to $795 in 3D or $895 as a Google tour. Taxes extra.

Do we need to close the dealership during the capture?

No. According to Matterport, allow 1 to 3 hours for 1,000 to 4,000 sq. ft.; we come at a quiet time, in the evening or on Saturday morning. Customers and staff step out of the frame; any face or licence plate that appears is blurred.

The vehicles on display will change: will the tour become outdated?

The showroom, the reception area and the service department do not change every month, and that is what buyers want to see. For the inventory, the tags updated by your team do the job. After a reconfiguration, we recapture only the affected area: according to Matterport, several captures can be merged into a single model while keeping the tags.

We have several dealerships: how does it work?

Each dealership follows the grid and gets its own tour, following the same path: showroom, reception, service, parts. Sites in the same region are captured on one route and share the travel fees, each with its own invoice.

Can you show the mechanical or body shop?

Yes, and it is often what reassures customers the most. We captured the Carrossier ProColor shops in Varennes and Longueuil, and the Prestige Cycle shop in La Prairie. The service bays are captured at a quiet time, with no identifiable customer vehicle.

What about the outdoor lot, or RV and boat inventory?

The Matterport Pro3 camera works outdoors, even in full sunlight, to connect the yard to the showroom. To show the size of the lot, 360 aerial views by drone can be added for $450 to $495, by a certified drone pilot.

Can customers tour the inside of a vehicle?

Yes, in the Google tour: a 360° panorama taken inside the cabin of a featured model is linked to the showroom. We did this for a CR-V and a Civic at Honda Sorel-Tracy, and for an F-150 at Yergeau Ford.

How long does it take to get the tour?

The 3D tour is online 24 to 48 hours after the capture in most cases; publication on Google Maps, tags and branding are added within a few days. For a launch, plan the capture a few weeks ahead.
